AO map of mesh overwrites AO map of the material

ShivWad

Hello,

We have applied an AO map on a mesh. On the same mesh, we are applying a material with AO and a Normal map in it. The AO map of the mesh completely overwrites the AO of the material. Is there a way we can have the effect of both the AO maps?

Thanks

Hi Shiv, where are you adding the AO map directly to the mesh? Can you send me a screenshot of the properties panel? If you'd like, you can enable support access in your org and email me a link to the asset and I will look at it. wthompson@threekit.com

    Hello William,

I am attaching a screenshot of the same.

On the mesh "Cladding" we are applying the materials (with their own AO and Normal) too via logic and attributes.

Thanks Shiv - this is the expected behavior of the 'map override' operator, as the name implies it will override whatever map is in the material. I believe you may be able to use a canvas - can you let me know what your ultimate goal of the dual-AO maps is? I will find some resources.

    Thanks!
