The configuration options for Catalog Attributes

The Catalog Options are intended to represent the available options on the Catalog Attributes. In the example above, the attribute Fabric provides a number of different options such as Cotton Oatmeal or Cotton Agate Grey.
The Options listing page is where we manage and create new Options. The list shows all the existing Catalog Options in the org. From here we can create, edit, and delete Catalog Options.

Click the Create Option button on the top right corner of the Options Listing page, to create a new option. Give it a name by replacing the Enter Option Name title, and then click the Create Option button at the top of the page.

To delete a Catalog Option you must first enter its details page. From there, select the Actions dropdown in the top right corner of the page, and select the Delete option.

This page is accessible when you click on an entry in the Attribute Listing page.
Here you are able to edit key properties of Options, along with the ability to delete the option.
The Name (character limit: 255) of the Option, also reflected at the top of an individual Option's page.
The label can be used on the front-end UI instead of the Option name.
The custom ID offers an alternative way to identify the Option in the URL and through the API, instead of using the platform provided UUID.
Ensure you always use unique Custom IDs for each Option. Using the same Custom ID for several Options will cause only the last modified Option with that Custom ID to be served.
Contains the Description (character limit: 2500) of the Catalog Option. This description can be used for internal documentation or on the front-end UI if desired. The AI Discovery feature relies heavily on the Description field in order to make good recommendations.
